From the start, with her debut album to show for it, Taylor Dayne proved she is no artist to be categorized. Her versatile voice lends itself to challenge any musical genre from pop to rock, from adult contemporary to dance music. Taylor’s distinctive vocal sound resembles great voices such as Janis Joplin’s or Tina Turner’s.

Having gathered double platinum and golden albums, several Grammy nominations and a string of top 10 hits, Taylor went on to explore various other facets such as acting in films and television series and taking the stage in musicals, including the big Broadway production ‘Aida’.

Taylor’s musical projects throughout the past decade or so portray her own experiences and show the artist’s growth and maturing. Over the years Taylor has earned recognition, beyond chart success.

Since 2009 Taylor has been back performing on European stages, appearing on RTL's Ultimative Chart Show, bringing the Official Anthem for the Gay Games, ‘Facing A Miracle’, live at the Opening Ceremonies in Cologne, and guest starring at OnStage Goes 80's in Sweden.

Angel Artists, her European management, announced an exclusive deal with one of the world's best live booking agents Marshall Arts. They look after some of the biggest names in the business including Sir Paul McCartney, Pink, Whitney Houston and many more. Taylor has been touring Australia recently. Hopefully some European dates will follow.

There have been talks to have Taylor be part of this Fall's European leg of the Here Come The Girls Tour, alongside Lulu and Heather Small of M-People. Previous acts on these tours have also included Chaka Khan and Anastasia.

Preparations for the release of a compilation of all the big hits remastered are well underway. The ‘Special Edition Greatest Hits’ will include some brand new tracks.

‘Floor On Fire’, the  latest single, became Taylor's 18th Top 10 hit single, peaking at number 7 on Billboard's Dance/Club Play Songs. Taylor co-wrote the song with Australian artist Tania Doko and Swedish songwriters Niclas Kings and Ivar Lisinski. A total of eight different mixes (including The Thin Red Men, Zoned Out and Marc Lime & K-Bastian ao) are available.

At the 2011 Hollywood Music in Media Awardsf, the Best Original Song/Score for a Movie Trailer was awarded to Taylor's song e ‘Change The World’, featured in The Help.

Taylor is one of the contestants on the new series Celebrity Cook-Off, to premiere January 1st on Food Network. Other cook-offs include Aaron Carter, Coolio and Lou Diamond Phillips.
